TOURETTE SYNDROME
Tourette Syndrome and Rage
Does TS cause "rage attacks?" Current research suggests that these attacks are not present in those patients who "just" have TS, but are more likely to occur in those who have comorbid ADHD and/or OCD. The international consortium of clinicians and investigators contributing to the CATS database is providing us with more information on how common or unlikely it is to find these '"rage attacks" associated with different disorders in clinic populations. So far, there hasn't been even one case of "rage" associated with anyone whose sole diagnosis was TS.
